About the project

Strengthening Health Outcomes for Women and Children (SHOW) was a 4.5 year (January 2016-September 2020) multi-country, gender-transformative project, implemented with the support of Global Affairs Canada and the Canadian public. The ultimate objective of SHOW is to contribute to the reduction of maternal and child mortality amongst vulnerable women and children, including adolescent girls, in targeted remote, underserved regions of Bangladesh, Ghana, Haiti, Nigeria and Senegal.

About my role

As trainer consultant, my role was to provide the project team with skills, knowledge and resources to build the capacity of the project beneficiaries in management of income generating activities. Among others, I was responsible to:

1. Developing the training materials
2. Conducting training session for the team
3. Providing them with tools and techniques in order to replicate the training.

About my accomplishment

As part of this consultation, I developed a toolkit for the project team to use during the beneficiaries training. Here are the different elements contained in this toolkit:

1. Workbook (training documents and practical exercises)
2. PowerPoint presentation
3. Utilization guide.

In addition to the toolkit, I conducted a three days workshop for the project team in order to get them familiar with the training materials and build their technical capacity to train the project beneficiaries. Indeed, the workshop was an opportunity for them to practice the training materials, ask questions and get ready to use the materials to train the project beneficiaries.
