About the project

Pentagon Consulting Group was the firm selected to perform the final evaluation of the Support for Food Security, Agricultural Strengthening, and Nutritional Improvement in Grand'Anse (ASARANGA) project, funded by European Union and implemented by CARE-Haiti. The main objective of the project is to contribute to increasing food security and strengthening the resilience efforts of vulnerable groups affected by the passage of Hurricane Matthew in the municipalities of Jérémie, Beaumont, and Roseaux.

About my role

I was responsible to conduct the final evaluation of the ASARANGA project in collaboration with the PCG team. My roles included:
1. Develop the overall evaluation approach
2. Design and the data gathering tools
3. Collect and analyze data
4. Develop and present the evaluation report to CARE-Haiti

About my accomplishment

As part of this evaluation, I prioritized a qualitative approach since the quantitative data were collected and analyzed by another consultation firm (Decision from CARE-Haiti team). Indeed, I design data gathering tools, participated in the training of enumerators, analyzed data, and produce the evaluation report.

It's worth mentioning that the evaluation was performed according to the OECD/DAC evaluation criteria and data were analyzed using a content analysis approach. The report was written in French and is available on the CARE International website.
